Welcome to The Summer Event in Nord Østerdal 2015
Join us for a three days orienteering competition in terrains nearby the national park of “Rondane" in the northeastern part of southern Norway. The area is called “Nord Østerdal”, and is located approximately 300 km north of Oslo and 170 km south of Trondheim. There is train connection from both Oslo and Trondheim, but an own vehicle is needed for transport between the three different competiton sites.
The terrains on all three competitions are mostly open pine and birch forest with little or noe undergrowth. The terrains area rich on heigth curve details, formed by the melting glaciers 10.000 years ago.
Program:
Friday 3. July: Sprint distance at Grimsbu in Folldal.
Organizer: Folldal IF/Alvdal IL. Interval start.
Stormoegga cross county arena: The signposting will start at highway 29 between Alvdal and Folldal.
Saturday 4. July: Middle distance at Tron, 7 kilometers south of Tynset
Organizer: Tynset IF. Interval start.
Tron ungdomssenter along highway 30, 7 kilometers south of Tynset towards Tylldalen.
Sunday 5. July: Long distance at Tron, 7 kilometers south of Tynset.
Organizer: Tynset IF. Chasing start.
Tron ungdomssenter: The same as Saturday.
